To succeed in this new environment, students need to develop their capabilities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to levels much beyond what was considered acceptable in the past.” (National Science Foundation) Quality Group, an innovator in the field of development and construction, supports the concept behind the 1st Cyprus Science Festival which is to integrate multiple opportunities. For an individual to discover how concepts relate to life, it is a form of awakening and a hopeful spark of passion, for a future calling towards the STEM field. The very first Science Festival in Cyprus is taking place on the 7th until the 11th of December, at UCLan Cyprus and it invites you all to explore science that can be found in our everyday lives. It is organised by the research organization C.R.I.C.( Center for Research and Innovation in Cognition), UCLan Cyprus (University of Central Lancashire, Cyprus) and InSPIRE (Center of Interdisciplinary Science Promotion and Innovative research Exploration). Presenting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through fun and interactive ways, the festival helps the student to do much more than just learn. The Festival aims to the development of Scientific Literacy and Innovation in our country. We want Cyprus to be placed in the Scientific Map of today. We need to inspire the brilliant young minds, the promising next generation of scientists and motivated inventors.
